  1. Yes. An outward facing ego requires no justification. They merely react to whatever situation they find themselves in. Only the introspective ego requires justification.

  2. Of course. And why should you have to justify your life?  I'd focus on making a positive difference in the world, however small your contribution may be.

  3. I agree with the above answer.

And how does someone go about justifying their life? By whose barometer are we judging this by? Some days I'm just happy to get through another one.

  4. I suppose so.

Can one justify missing the toilet?

  5. The goal of life is to ascend to the next life or life has no meaning(justification).

The true reality is spirit with the potential of perfection though service to the cosmic reality.

The Urantia (Earth) Papers has it like this.

P.295 - §2 Step by step, life by life, world by world, the ascendant career has been mastered, and the goal of Deity has been attained. Survival is complete in perfection, and perfection is replete in the supremacy of divinity. Time is lost in eternity; space is swallowed up in worshipful identity and harmony with the Universal Father. The broadcasts of Havona flash forth the space reports of glory, the good news that in very truth the conscientious creatures of animal nature and material origin have, through evolutionary ascension, become in reality and eternally the perfected sons of God.

  6. Are you feeling forced and compelled to justify yourself? No we shouldnt, but according to others, they think that we are wrong,  and we should justify ourselves. Why would we have to justify ourselves to ourselves. Whatever you do, I wouldnt take a stance AGAINST your justifications. I would just notice them, and recognize what they are. Ask yourself if they are really necessary? who you are doesnt need justification, but that doesnt mean THEY will agree

  7. An unexamined life is not worth living. --  Socrates

  8. I'm not sure I understand the question, but it seems pretty simple to me.  I can't live with out food, without water, without sleep, without air.  Personally, I could not live without justifying my life, but I tend to think of that statement as hyperbole.  There is nothing about justifying my life that serves any essential living need that I have.  I think a huge number of people have no trouble living without justifying their lives.  I'd love to know what moves you to ask this.
