Just curious. We will be going to Ft Walton Beach, FL for 5 days in mid July. Will I be able to negotiate my hotel price once I am there or I pretty much have to pay a locked in rate?

  1. You can.  Call the hotel of your choice directly the day before your arrival.  Do not call the hotel chain's toll-free number, the customer service rep does not have the power to change the price of a room.  The hotel would rather have a room occupied at a reduced rate then it being empty.  An empty room means no revenue.  You may have trouble if there is an event of some sort going on that would increase demand.
