Sarah Palin is a good choice when Karl Rove had this to say about an even MORE experienced governor

"With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he’s been a governor for three years, he’s been able but undistinguished. I don’t think people could really name a big, important thing that he’s done. He was mayor of the 105th largest city in America. And again, with all due respect to Richmond, Virginia, it’s smaller than Chula Vista, California; Aurora, Colorado; Mesa or Gilbert, Arizona; north Las Vegas or Henderson, Nevada. It’s not a big town. So if he were to pick Governor Kaine, it would be an intensely political choice where he said, `You know what? I’m really not, first and foremost, concerned with, is this person capable of being president of the United States? "

Now if one of the so called best political minds on conservative politics says this about Gov. Kaine ( now I admit Kaine is a Dem BUT how do you complain about this experience when you compared it Palin) what does this say about the choice of Palin for the ticket????

  1. That is a credible argument, but you're forgetting that she is the VP, not the presidential candidate. We will be voting for Obama or McCain, not Biden or Palin. Obama is the inexperienced presidential candidate, and I hear democrats claiming that experience isn't necessary, so why is experience a necessity all of a sudden when addressing the republican VP pick? Democrats can't have it both ways!

  2. Well, they are hoping the gun-toting pro-lifer is going to trump America's good sense. Once again we hash out tired & worn-out moral divides and ignore the fact that there are larger issues at hand. We are not going to solve abortion or gun rights, but stirring it up gets the wacko fringe element out there, and without them, McCain can't win. Luckily, I don't think he can even win with them this time. I just hope Obama didn't peak too early.

  3. We have an experienced presidential candidate with an inexperienced VP on one side and an inexperienced presidential candidate with an experienced VP on the other.

That's the reality - shall we draw straws or at least pick the most experienced one that's actually running for president?

  5. I live in Virginia.  If you want Kaine you can have him.  I sure don't want him.  As far as I am concerned he hasn't been worth a d### to us.  From what I have read about Palin, she is a great pick.

  6. this is brilliant.and weren't the democrats the ones who said experience doesn't matter?

  7. I think she was a great choice, If for no other reason, it sure has put you women hating liberals in a tizzy.

LMAO that you are claiming the second on our ticket is inexperienced when the first on your ticket is less experienced and the second on your ticket is a pompous blow fish.  *******, come to terms for who you are calling inexperienced.  You are pointing the finger back to Obama.

  8. We agree completely with what Rove said about Gov.Kaine:  "undistinguished... I don’t think people could really name a big, important thing that he’s done,"

Larry Sabato, political expert from the Univ. of VA, said that Obama would be crazy to pick him because it would be called the "ROOKIE Ticket."

Everyone around here knew that the only reason that Obama's campaign encouraged the buzz about Kaine was to get interest going for Obama in VA to help with voter registration and primary turnout.

When the VP chase was over, Obama publicly dissed Kaine and local dignitaries at a public rally.  It was humiliating to Kaine and former Gov. Doug Wilder, the first black Gov. in the US.  Obama acted like a jerk.

When you list Palin's accomplishments, Kaine is a joke.

Palin has genuine skill and experience.  A real STAR.

    A serious record of achievement.

Democrats are just going to get over it.

The GOP has a terrific ticket.

  9. The unfortunate truth for the democrats is that any executive experience is more than Obama has.

I love the democrats bringing up experience up as an issue, it will just illustrates Obama's lack of experience at the top of the ticket.

He simply is not ready on day one to take govern.

  10. Well, it's different, you see, because McCain was a POW for 5 years.

  11. How bad can you liberals get? Dems wouldn't put a woman on the ticket even with her 15 million votes, I hope that is exactly what you dems will lose by, lol!

  12. Look into her record, what she has done and how she has done it more before you do a knee jerk reaction of rejection just because she is a Rep.

Think for yourself, but first get the facts.

    Have a great day.

  13. You said it, Gov. Kaine is democrat. But then if he is so good why didn't Obama go with him?

Gov. Palin politically speaking is more to the liking of the conservative base. Gov. Kaine has a blank history that conservatives would fine hard to support. Yes so does Gov Palin, but her political views are more in line with conservatism.

  14. Because it would have placed not one but TWO inexperienced people on the ticket.  Remember, McCain comes with experience and Obama does not.

  15. I would be more concerned that my candidate for President has experience. The Dim-o-crats were preaching that experience doesn't matter and now it does. Hypocrites!

  16. I will explain.  Obama has very little experience so he wisely chose an experienced running mate which we are to believe will help him make decisions, etc.  The choise of a running mate with experience was very important to Obama.  Kaine would have been a bad choice.  Clinton would have been a bad choice because she isn't very experienced either and it would have been seen as pandering to women.

McCain, on the other hand, is very experienced.  He doesn't need an adviser on foriegn affairs, but he clearly needs an advisor on real life.  Palin is definitely that.  And choosing a woman for McCain is not seen as pandering (though it may be) it is seen as the Republicans are really the ones giving the woman a shot, the democrats did not.  And who is to say an "inexperienced" mother of 5 wouldn't be a good President if the need arose.

Secondly it makes a difference because we are voting FOR Obama or McCain.  They are the candidates for President.  McCain is more experienced AND has a woman on the ticket.  Slam dunk.  And the liberals KNOW it and they are LIVID!!!!!!  It may be the best political rope-a-dope I ever saw.  AND the day after Obama's "historical" speech, what is EVERYONE talking about?  McCain's pick for VP!!!!!!!

Expect Obama's convention bounce (not much to speak about) to fade rapidly.  McCain just slammed the door on Obama.  But then, he IS more experienced.

  17. It says that liberals must really be desperate if they are watching Rove videos for an attack on Palin.

We think its a good pick because she is a blue collar conservative and balances the ticket... We havent given her magical powers or anointed her "the one" .

  18. well maybe your answer lies in wha tyou quoted... ""With all due respect again to Governor Kaine, he’s been a governor for three years, he’s been able but undistinguished. I don’t think people could really name a big, important thing that he’s done""

undistinguised and no one coudl really name anything important he has done.

Palin is notable for taking on the republican (her own party) establishment in Alaska, she is in a state that has to deal with Canada and Russia on energy and agricultural issues.

She stands out.  And she has a 80-90% approval rating from citizens of Alaska.
