  1. Yes, it's certainly possible. While ovulation (egg releasing) and menstruation (the bleeding part) are related, one does not need to occur for the other to occur--your hormones could prevent one while allowing the other.  


  2. No i don't think you can becuase when you ovulate the egg needs a padding around the uterus, preparing for a feedus to grow. When the body relizes this is not happening, the padding and tissue break down; thus your period :)
