Can one pay in EUR at train stations in Denmark?

No, you cannot pay in Euro's.  I have personally been to Denmark recently, and at Kastrup (the airport in Copenhagen), they make you exchange money of any sort into Danish Kroner.  Even people from Sweden trying to pay with Swedish Kroner (pretty much the same monetary value in Denmark), were forced to change their money in order to buy a ticket.  So overall, you will, without a doubt, have to change your Euro's into Danish Kroner in order to buy a ticket.  I hope this has been helpful for you.  Good luck with your travels.
