My question is do you think a one person can make a difference in the world. I mean because the world is just too crazy now a days, people at least in America are too rude too mean. If one person started being nicer too everyone, do you think others will too, I'm trying to be positive in the middle of so much negativity... Ar you tired too like me of going out and when your driving everyone tries to be first no one's nice anymore and at stores people seem soo defensive and mean pushing cutting lines etc...get me? or am I the only who feels this way

  1. you will be surprise but i sure do believe that one person could make a different just like Dr.Martin Luther King "did..

  2. It's totally a chain reaction, domino effect, butterfly effect etc..

One person can make a difference in the world by making small changes.

Someone can inspire us, and we inspire others, etc.

  3. Not enough to change things. The one thing they can change is their attitude, just as you are doing. Keep it up, I am with you.

  4. don't you watch those hybrid commercials!?

if not... yes you can! lol

  5. Sure, look at the difference Timothy McVeigh and Hitler made in people's lives.  Or Mother Teresa and Ghandi on the flip-side of that coin.

  6. You do make a difference, every day. All the people that you interact with will benefit from your kindness, helpfulness or just your smile. They may in turn pass it on to someone else. No one can help everyone, but everyone can help somebody. It can't hurt. You also may be the "spark plug" for all your friends and relatives. They may ask you about it and you can tell them about your philosophy. If they agree they too may spread the joy.

  7. absolutely. if noone tried to change anything because they saw themselves as just one person can you imagine the world wed live in today? obviously we have tons more to do but omg just look at all the good done. i know its hard but trust me the world would look a whole lot different.

for me ...theres so much irony in "good people" feeling hopeless in spreading their messages. look at how successful  the people trying to spread what i call negative messages in the world have been. everything has a starting point and it seems the bad in the world isnt as easily discouraged. still as i said before keep hope alive. when youre passionate enough about something then you wont get tired of trying to make a change.

oh btw. the following are negative powerful messages in the world that need to change: white dominance and oppression, negative portrayal of black people and minorities in general, down playing of ethnic traits as "ugly", meat eating while hiding the horrible treatment of innocent animals, abusers of the environment and neglectful practices, the oppressive idealism of the media on young girls with eating disorders, glamorized terrorism in the forms of crime and drug dealing, etc, cultural deprivation and narrow minded stereotypes, etc.

just saying. dont give up hope in whatever you believe in : )

  8. No, you're not alone. Personally, I am also shocked at the rudeness of people, particularly people who work customer service jobs. I was a secretary for 2 years and I was ALWAYS nice to people, despite what I thought of them, b/c it was my job. Now, store employees and secretaries act like they're doing ME a big favor talking to me.

I just try to be nice and if they're not nice back, that's their problem. I don't let it affect me that much, b/c if it does, the negative people win.

    Be happy. ^_^

  9. American seem more friendlier and willing to talk to a stranger than here in the UK.. One person can always make a difference no matter how this world is

Cure for cancer or Aids is one idea of how one person could change the world

  10. It depends on your definition of, "make a difference."  Because, if you think you can actually change the whole world alone, then you're very wrong.  But if you just mean, like, can one person make a difference in the days and lives of SOME people, ABSOLUTELY!  It happens all the time.  Think about social workers and stuff.  If it weren't for SOME of the good ones, I'm sure some kids would have nobody to turn to.  You can always make a difference in the lives of your friends and family.  And if you're cool, you can be a cool motorist and let people in front of you and stuff (I do that all the time!)  But I don't think one person can change things like politics, government, etc.  That's just a lie they tell you.  But you know, by doing good things, most likely good things will happen to you.  What  goes around, comes around, right?
