Can only hunt seat ridders learn to jump, or can you jump in saddle seat?

i've been ridding for about 2 years (saddle seat) and its really fun and i show and stuff but ive always wondered if i could ever jump without learning huntseat. i use to huntseat so i know what it is like but just wondering if only hunt seat ridders can jump! thaankss

i ride saddle seat jumping is a serious NO you just dont jump!!!!!!  i have been going strong in saddleseat for 8 years i am 14 now i just love it i dont see why you want to jump

hunt seat english hunter jumper all jump and are all basically the same thing

Hunt seat is intended for jumping, and the saddle is made to make it easier on the horse and safer for the rider.  

For the horse, the saddle has more curve and height through the gullet to allow more freedom for the spine to bend as the horse jumps, and also puts the rider further forward, over the horse's center of gravity.

For the rider, the shorter stirrups and more forward flaps support him/her more as the horse goes over the jump.  Suede flaps and knee rolls provide more security,

I first jumped in a saddle seat saddle (no trainer, family not horse-saavy, I was a kid, what can I say?) so I know what I'm talking about.  It can be done, but it's a really bad idea.

you can jump in a saddle seat saddle if you can stay in the saddle. it'd be much easier if you had a hunt seat saddle because that is what its made for.

Its not so much you can your horse Jump!

and low jumps Yea you can use your saddle seat . If you really want to learn hunt seat You will have to get a different saddle ,, Your almost there any way the posting at the trot and cantering ,, all you have to learn is how to use your leg closer to the horse and do not hang on the bridle

You also have to learn your balance , since saddle seat is so much different ,,

No if you have ridden hunt seat before then you will get used to it again
