Can oprah help me and my family we are from new orleans and i cant seam to find any help?

me and my family are from new orleans and we have tried to purchase a home but hav'ent had much luck with it because our credit is less than perfect and we are on ssi,disability our income is enouth to pay a house note. I really would appreciate any kind of help i can get i have loupus and my husband is a total heart failure patient, we have 2 boys 11 and 13 i also take care of my mom who is parilized due to stroke i had to place her in a nursing facility temporary till i find a home for us so if anyone can help i would appreciate all thank you and god bless

what does new orleans got to do with it  did you have a house before katrina  go to social services

Go to the local housing authority.  There should be programs in place to help you with this.  Oprah is not going to help you, so don't bank on that.

Since you are on ssi & disability, have you checked with the SS Administration as to whether or not they have any special helps and assistance.

Other than this, there may be government grants in which you could apply for that helps with down payments.

Other than these suggestions, I am really sorry, I don't know what else you can do.  Are you renting somewhere?  Maybe you could rent for awhile and try to repair your credit and build a little savings if possible.
