Can over eating help compensate for over training?

I have double sessions of soccer every day for a week and that is 8-11 AM and 2:45-5:00 PM of pretty much non-stop running. We probably run a combined 10-12 miles a day. If I weight trained in the middle i would be overtraining but if i eat 5,000-6,000 calories a day would that compensate for my tired muscles?

  1. eat bananas for the potassium, and drink milk with whey protein supplements.

potassium helps aching muscles and cramps as does stretching and tired muscles.

molasses promotes iron in the blood which aids in aerobic activity and respiration.

drink water to get rid of lactic acid, stretch...

over eating only helps if you want to have an intestinal blockage or get large muscles that do not have much endurance(depending on the workouts) and a lot of waste stored in the body.

  2. Bodies vary, so this is hard to answer. Certainly many top athletes ingest enormous amounts of calories a day in order to keep their bodies working at a top level.

However, food is not going to compensate for actual DAMAGE you do to yourself. If you push yourself too hard without having built up your muscles for it, extra food isn't going to stop you from tearing things.

If you've trained yourself up to it, then yes, you can keep going a pretty long time as long as you have fuel.
