  1. What a dumb question, an overdose of anything can kill you.

Did you know that even too much water is toxic.

  2. slowly and painfully

  3. Yes.

  4. It can kill anyone, like the poster above stated, it will cause liver failure.

Acetaminophen is processed in the liver, like alcohol, if there is too much for the liver to handle, it will poison your system and in affect kill you slowly and painfully.

  5. Yes it can because it cause overload and damage your liver.

  6. An overdose of pretty much anything can kill you, especially an 80 year old.

  7. yes ma'am it can! Tylenol(acetaminophen) can certainly cause death...an overdose would lead to stomach ulceration, liver failure, and kidney failure not to mention a multitude of other problems...In an 80 year old whose systems are weaker to begin with it would kill him quicker...of course an overdose of aetaminophen would be alot of pills!!! if it was another pain killer that killed him such as...morphine or hydrocodone...an over dose of these would suppress his systems to where he is breathing very little and this would definitely kill him!

so all that to say the answer is most definitely yes!

hope I helped...and I am sorry if you have lost a loved one

  8. of course....but the bigger question is why on earth are you asking that??

    a. if you took to much and your 80, go to the hospital

    b. if some one you know did that, take them to the hospital

    c. if you are trying to "off" some one, they will find this question and you'll be in deep doo doo

    d. if you are trying to "off" your self, you need to get some help!

    have a nice day!    :)

  9. In adults, 10 grams(20 500mg pills) at once or in any 24 hour period is putting the person at serious risk for toxicity.

The figure is probably lower due to age in this case, but will be roughly the same.

Effects of a toxic dose will show up between 12 hours and four days later. However, the treatment for toxic dosages(acetylcysteine) is only effective up to 48 hours after the acetaminophen was injested, which is no good if the visible effects show up after that window for treatment.

  10. Of course it could.  Acetaminophen is Tylenol, and an overdose of Tylenol will destroy your liver.  You die a slow, painful death.
