Can overeating help compensate for overtraining??

I have double sessions of soccer every day for a week and that is 8-11 AM and 2:45-5:00 PM of pretty much non-stop running. We probably run a combined 10-12 miles a day. If I weight trained in the middle i would be overtraining but if i eat 5,000-6,000 calories a day would that compensate for my tired muscles?

  1. I suggest you write Michael Phelps and ask him about his 12,000 calorie per day diet.

  2. Yes it would compensate but rest/sleep is just as important,

So if you're overtraining make sure you get sufficient sleep

  3. It all depends on how fast your motabalism is and how much over eating you plan to do...id say it would be more healthy to eat regualrly and slow down your workouts......overeating is not a good way to balance it out
