  1. only if you're eligible to become Aust citizen or have critical skills

  2. first of all why you want to join Aus army? just out of passion or want as a career or you are looking for a easy way of getting scholarships.and what sort of scholarship you are looking?scholarship in -' ARMY'. or 'NAVY'. Dont get deviated from your aim of coming to australia as a student.do what you thought to do when you landed in australia.your question is  a little not clear

  3. To join the Australian Defence Force, you need to be either a citizen of Australia, or a permanent resident of Australia who is willing to sign a contract stating they will accept citizenship during their service. Overseas students are not eligible unless they happen to meet the above requirements.

As for earning a degree in the ADF, there are two avenues I know of:

    - The Australian Defence Force Academy, which puts you through a grueling 3 or 4 year training regime while undertaking a degree at the University of New South Wales.

    - ADF Sponsored Undergraduate Scheme, where you study at a civilian university of your choice. They cover all the various fees for you, pay you a wage and conduct military training.

    Catches:

    - Only a number of specific disciplines are covered - Medicine, Science, Engineering, Arts, etc

    - Defence Force Recruiting needs to deem you suitable to train as an Officer, which can be quite difficult to get chosen for

  4. "Who is eligible

The Australian Army can sponsor serving or ex-serving foreign military personnel for service in the Army.

Foreign nationals who do not have military experience are not eligible for recruitment via this program. However you may apply for enlistment through Defence Force Recruiting once you have satisfied normal Australian permanent residency requirements." -  www.defencejobs.gov.au

Scholarships are offered, the different forces accept different applicants, eg Army does not offer scholarship for Law, other two services do.

Services will generally pay for second half of uni fees, and require at least two years service, or same period as was paid for Uni fees. Forces do however pay you too study plus room and board.
