Can parakeets eat sunflowers? (And other flowers?)

Question

We have many different plants in our house, and our parakeets eat most of them, and they seem to be fine. But recently, we recieved sunflowers, and the parakeets have tried eating the actual FLOWER, but I didn't let them because I wasn't sure about it. Many parakeets eat the sunflower SEEDS, but my parakeets mostly ONLY like FLOWERS! And they eat other flowers, like the petals, not the leaves or stems. Is it ok for them to eat sunflowers, and also, is it ok for them to eat other flowers? Thanx to those who help!

no only sunflower seeds but there is a certain kind that they can eat.

ex: the sunflower seeds that come in the food bags for birds

mm, no i have a parrot it eats fruits ,veggies,and SUN FLOWER SEEDS maybe that's  JUST NOT TRUE

I think they are allergic to te seeds.
