Can parents of 20 year old be held liable if their child kills someone in a car crash,auto ins. in dads name

If the car is in dad's name....yes.

Legally dad is the owner of the car. Both dad and son will be sued.

If dad has assets, those are at risk.

Not only parents, anyone who has some kind of relation to the car, such as insurance or even that dad whose name is on that car.

I would not be wasting my time asking anyone here.You need to contact legal help immediately.If your child was found to be at fault you have trouble ahead.

owner of the car can be sued for damages, relationship to driver is irrelevant.  it's up to a jury whether they're liable.

but parents are not responsible for actions of adult offspring.
