Question:

Can paying off a judgment improve my overall score?

This judgment happened in 2004 . I paid it in full a year and a half ago and have sent letter after letter trying to get the payment to show as settled on my credit report. Still not showing up. It's the only negative on my credit report. If the judgment still shows on my report, but shows as paid in full, will it improve my overall score at all? This is so frustrating. I don't even know if having it paid would make any difference at all.

  1. Any judgment weather paid or not will show up in your credit report for 7 years.

Paying your judgment will increase your credit score.
