  1. Yes, if they received a court order to garnish your wages.  But usually, the company that you owe will send you a notice in advance letting you know that this is going to occur.  They then send the same notice to your payroll dept.  Also, if you have any bank accounts that might be garnished as well.


  2. If they have a court order to garnish your wages... then your employer by law has to take it out, and you have no say over it... but you will know on your paystub, which just like the first person says, "That's your notice".

  3. Err... it would have to be accounted for on the pay stub.  That's the notice.
