Can pedophiles have children?

In the hypothetical situation that a person who's been convicted of pedophilia, then has a child of their own, does the government step in to do anything? Do they just automatically take that person's child away or what?

The government couldn't take away the child automatically, it would be a violation of procedural due process. However, it would be pretty easy for child protective services to remove the child at a hearing.
