I was wondering if you have a bad driving record and ur trying to get good insurance, how long would it stay on your driving record? Just like something on your credit report staying for 7 yrs, is it similar rules to a driving record??

  1. They never totally disappear, insurance companies have their own rules.  Usually they look at 1 pointers for 3 years and 2 pointers for 7 years.

  2. each state is different. I know for Texas it takes three yrs from the date of your last moving violation to fall off your records.

  3. They disappear after 3-7 years, depending on the violation.  Violations range from parking/moving to DUIs, etc.

  4. its like 3 years for tickets and 5 for accidents
