If "global warming" does happen or is happening and our penguins have to somehow come to warmer places, could they live?

  1. I live in the Midwest and visit a zoo here frequently that has penguins out in the warm air during the summer, so my guess would be they could survive it, since they can survive 90 degree days out in the open.

  2. Yes Visit any Zoo

  3. well, certainly some species can, like the ones that live on the equator.  I think that if it came to that, some would adapt and evolve and some would die off.  In order to survive though, they would adapt to whatever environment they were moved to.

  4. depends some can some cant. for example if they live in the ice and the ice melts-- then no.

  5. Yeah, there's no reason why they couldn't survive warm weather.  As long as there was enough food and water to sustain them, they would live healthy lives.

  6. Some penguins live in the sea near New Zealand and other Southern land masses that not as cold as Antarctica so the answer is probably yes, however the penguins that breed during the Antarctic winter may have a problem.

As to can they live here, they do in Zoos if you are in the UK, however they are naturally Southern hemisphere animals and would not make the journey on their own,

  7. YES PENQUINS CAN LIVE IN WARM WEATHER.
