  1. ****Only if they are reported ~

  2. A fish is an animal. Look up SPCA!

  3. u going to be cruel to ur fish?

  4. I don't think so, only if they are reported

  5. No, unfortunately not.

Petshops shouldn't have alot of dead fish. If they do it is most probably the water quality is bad or they have a disease in ther tank.

Never buy fish from a petshop if there is alot of dead fish in there tanks or if the fish look sick.

If your fish dies within 48 hours of getting it, you should return it.

  6. The Animal Welfare Act does cover aquarium and pond fish. Pet shops/wholesalers get their license to sell animals revoked if it is proven they are keeping stock in sub standard conditions.

The RSPCA would be reluctant to bring a case of animal abuse to fish by an individual owner to court. Little chance of a successful prosecution and the press would jump on the trivia bandwagon which would damage cases against cats, dogs, horses etc.

  7. There is something stuff about "cruelty to fish" in the court of public opinion, but it is not illegal. Many people use live fish as food for bigger fish or for alligators or crocodiles. I doubt that it is illegal to use live mice as food either.

  8. Something fishy about your story, fella....
