  1. No.  You get skin cancer from too much sun.  Global warming means the earth is getting hotter due to a build up of gases in the atmosphere that trap heat in.  No extra sunlight is implied, so no extra skin cancer.

As one of the others implied, the hole in the ozone can mean more skin cancer because the ozone no longers blocks UV, the component of light that causes skin cancer.  However this is not the same thing as global warming, it is a completely different environmental effect.

  2. Yes, because it is getting warmer due to global warming, and the ozone is becoming thinner, I live in NZ and the sun is very dangerous, worse than other places in the world because of the ozone layer.. so yea i suppose you could get skin cancer from the harsh sun

  3. where did u come up with that theory, u dont get it from the dlobal warming u get it from staying in the sun to much !

  4. i really don't know,

    try asking a doctor

  5. Not from global warming.  That term blankets several things happening in our environment, but the depletion of our ozone layer caused by global warming can cause more cases and increase the severity of the cases of skin cancer we have now.

  6. NO, but you can get skin cancer from the source of global warming (the sun).

  7. global warming is not real, it is going throught stages, just like the ice ages, we should then call that global cooling,. You can get skin cancer from too many uv rays though

  8. i never heard of that.i have no idea i guess

  9. yes they can    no ones doing nything bout it and we cant do nything

the polar bears and little wittle walruseseses

  10. No, from the UV rays, yes.

  11. I think you are thinking of depletion of the ozone layer, not global warming

  12. no......

  13. Not directly.

Global warming is an excess of greenhouse gases--prominently CO2 and methane as well as water vapours. These are perfectly safe and are not considered criteria pollutants because they do not cause environmental or health effects. HOWEVER, they do increase temperatures. This can indirectly affect your skin cancer rates. Maybe there will be more summer days, so you are more likely to go to the beach or pool. But, skin cancer rates are directly affected by the ozone depletion in the stratosphere.

I found this article particularly interesting if you want to watch out for skin cancer. http://www.yourhealthbase.com/sunscreens...

  14. As long as you wear protective gear (ex.sunscreen)

    you'll be good.

  15. No, global warming does not come from extra UV rays (the rays that give you skin cancer, tans, and sunburns).  It comes from a build-up of greenhouse gases that trap heat in the earth's atmosphere.

  16. People can get skin cancer from UV rays. Global warming, however, is a general climactic effect (and a scientific theory). So, you may get cancer from some of the effects of global warming, but it's impossible to say that global warming will give you cancer. (By the way, negative effects often are balanced by positives; for example, in upper North America, very cold weather may cause crop damage, but it also kills snakes that threaten life.)

  17. No, since global warming is not real but a fake fear tactic.

Consider this:  Weather men/women can't predict a 7 day forecast with 100% accuracy.

How can we believe they can predict what will happen within the next 10+ years?
