  1. Having middle names is not common in Turkey. Having three names is even less common but I know some people with three names.

  2. I have two names but most of the people have only one.

  3. No it's against our religion :))  Just kidding yes they can if their parents want to give them another name.  But gee it would sound much like British Royalty e.g.

    Bartholomew, Aloysius, Fredrick Westminster.

and then what about all the hyphenated surnames OMG the mind boggles.

  4. Sure, you can have two middle names.

  5. Yes, an elementary school class mate had three names and a surname.

  6. The thing about Turkish middle names is; there are inseparable pairs of names: Like Ali Kemal or Mehmet Ali. Those generally have religious backgrounds. Having 2 unrelated names is not overly uncommon but not common definitely. They may be pure Turkish or may have a religious background.

my sis' middle name is Su which we never use and has nothing to do with her first name. I have a single name which i'm universally content with.

  7. I have two names. And I know someone has three names xD it is possible. "mahmut ali osman eryılmaz" his full name xD
