Can people on Answers- delete other peoples Questions?

Question

Would l then get a violation order if they did? l got 5 questions removed and 5 violation orders yesterday, my questions are innocent enough. What do you suggest l do. l will be glad for any suggestions. Thanks. jo.

Hi there,

Look I don't want to make you worry but seriously I think that you have a troll or a stalker who delete your questions and I have some reasons to expline for you.

First of all , because your questions don't offend some one and you get suspend before and you were ordinary user that really was not bad . WHen some on get reported alot , Yahoo will control them and try to delete their questions and at last get suspend.

I am sorry but I seriously think that you have a troll.Be careful

It appears you have someone who is getting a kick out of reporting your questions and who is probably working with someone else.

Go through your contacts and fans then remove anybody who has been added during the past week.

Hi Jo

Being new to this site I am not real sure how this really works but I did attempt to answer a question yesterday and when I tried to submit it I got a message saying the question had been deleted. It then sent me to a list of what is good and bad questions and did not provide any reason for why the question had been removed.

What I think is happening is Yahoo gets a report about a question and in stead of reading it or finding out any details they just delete the question without thinking about it. I don't know if there is any place to appeal their decision.

looks like you have a troll mate! hope im not taken of your contacts i love your questions they are nice and simple! and easy to answer, but they make you think! anyway you can take part in the deletion of a question by reporting someone, that is probably what they did to you, anyway good luck with it, i had trolls after me a few months back its horrible! if you need any help do not hesitate to email me!

ANy idiot can report a question; and the Y/A team deletes and violates at will; an not always with good reason.

No one can delete your question but YOU and Yahoo.  Trolls can give you thumbs down, but Yahoo is the only one that can finally delete your questions.

Have you really read the NEW site guidelines lately. They have changed.  You may not even realized things that you are doing wrong.

yes it is possible 2 remove it just by reporting it.no u cant do anything this is the work of people like me. pepole bored and if u dont like the question just delite it.

You can not delete yourself but I had the same problem & there was nothing wrong with my questions but I had Violation notices too. I did write Yahoo & complain but have heard nothing back.

I almost quit here but then some good people suggested I stay so should you just be careful who joins your contact & fan list.Cheers

I'm sorry that this is happening to you, apparently you have picked up a troll, I enjoy your questions, I started having the same problem and have went private because of it!!  There are some people here that have no life and feel the need to try to ruin someone elses, sad but true!!  Appeal to Yahoo on the violations, don't hold your breath though, technically any question you ask can be considered chat and can be removed!!  At least appeal!!

No people can not delete other people's questions.

All they can do is "report" them as violations. If 2 or more people report a question, it gets removed.

In your case, it could be a troll, but there would have to be at least 2 trolls targeting your questions.

When you get a violation notice, you have the right to "appeal" it.

If you had an idea who reported them, then you might be able to do something about it!

Hi,I`d like to add my 2 cents to this mess. Is there any way to find out from Yahoo who is doing this? After all, we have a right to face our accuser in most courts in the world. How can it be that some sneak can cause pain here without Yahoo doing something about it? In my opinion, you`ve always posted clean questions, so maybe it`s time for a revolution. LUV

They can't delete them Jo but they can report them for violating the guidelines and then Yahoo delete them.  There should be a link at the bottom of your violition notices so that you can appeal against the violitions.  There are some very sad people about Jo who do this because they think it is funny. x*x

It is quite sad how uptight some people are and how pointless that their lives are that they just wanna ruin everyone elses... and amazingly even have the time to follow you around reporting your questions...

Sorry Jo some people are jus plain mean I cant beleive the thumbs down over Christmas on everything although I have had flu so not been on much.

To have your question taken off someone has reported your question for some reason.

If I was you next time it happens appeal as I cant understand why all your questions are appropriate and in right area.

Check out your contacts and check profile of each and everyone if someone feels dodgy edit them from you rlist new year new broom sweep clean I intend too.

i feel your concern. for you it's not just an annoyance like it is for me coz i think that you do have Yahoo stockers who constantly are trying to get you off of yahoo. that's sad coz your right you don't post anything that is mean, or insensitive, you don't swear, you don't chat. so, the person who is doing this is just plain crazy, a few screws loose. who don't have a life other then to pursue to make others sad and angry.

as i said to one other i think that you should write down all your contacts names then add them back on VERY slowly. if after adding one particular person on and they start to bring you trouble then there you go.

yeah, it does stink that you have to go to such extremes but, it's better this then to be constantly harassed on line.

what is most terrible is that you can't turn to yahoo employees for help  coz they will just delete you. i think they need knew employee's who are not lazy on the job and just delete others coz they are too lazy to see if there is a real violation here.

EDIT: shrebe= has a good idea to not add those on level one or level 2. you have no idea if they have opened an account for trolling only. add those who have many levels. they are the ones who are here for what y and a is intended for. good luck. u have a lot of good advice here. take care

sorry to hear that,i have had the same thing happen,and lately had lots of people wanting to be contacts and Ive never heard of them,lots are level 1+2-no offence to any good guys.I have only added 2,not the others as i haven't seen them since.i had notice the thumbs downs at times thru out questions,so I'm careful not even to answer.It sux when it get likes that.Ive also had people email me and ask to add them and i cant reply,That's weird..all the best Jo,clean-out out ya list and don't add for a bit.cheers always :)

I received 3 violations last week, all in one day. I went private and deleted my fans, those are people that can go in and look at your stuff but are not in your contacts. Delete new contacts and get rid of the fans. Look for thumbs down on answers that you have answered. Someone is out to get you, 5 in one day is crazy. I'll bet the violations said Chatting! People can not delete other people's questions, unless they knew your password. However deleting your own question from your own account would not generate a violation. You received these violation because regardless if you feel your questions were innocent, you violated the TOS or community guidelines, someone reported it and yahoo removed it.
