Can people on your messenger list see your 360 profile?

Question

Even if you set everything to private, can all your friends on messenger see your 360 profile?

I know you can create a separate profile and link two profiles together, but are there actually two 360 profiles then? When I log in either of the linked accounts, they go to the same page.

You can set it up so people can only see your nickname, your profile pics (with some miscellaneous link functions under that), friends module, your Top Page comments (unless you delete all of them), and your background if they visit your 360 space. That part of it can't be changed from public viewing. If that's not private enough, then you should move to another service.

People on Messenger see a gold asterisk ("gleam") next to your name if you update your 360 space. See http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-1qCkw2Eha... for details. However, clicking on that asterisk to go to a 360 space has been disabled for many people. Clicking on the "person" 360 icon to go to 360 spaces has also been disabled for many people. If they have the 360 plug-in on their Messenger and they are a connected friend, then they can go to your 360 space from there.

As for linkage, it sounds like you have a main Yahoo ID and a Yahoo alias. They would go to the same 360 space if the alias is under the main ID. You can have a 360 space for each main Yahoo ID, not the aliases.

- While logged into a Yahoo! service (except Messenger, Chat or Games), click "My Account" link  (or "Members Center") - next to the "Sign Out" link at the very top.

- Click on the ""Edit/Create Profile" link in the upper right of the screen.

- Your IDs will be listed there.
