I had a guinea pig a year ago and I wasn't allergic to him,but I got another guinea 2 days ago and for some reason I'm allergic to him.Why am I allergic to this one when I wasn't allergic to my other one?

  1. Well, I had two guinea pigs, and for a long time, I was perfectly okay with holding them, and I didn't have any allergies.

After a while though, I started to get itchy after holding them, and I would sneeze when walking into the room.

So, it might not be that you're allergic to one and not the other, but that it took this long for your allergy to develop.

  2. Some breeds produce more 'dander' than others, the Teddy breed is one example.  Usually people who are more prone to allergies react to animal dander.
