Can people see the irony in this?

my husband is a dav. from the 1st gulf war and desert storm. he was navy attached marine( front line, medic-triage.) we met on a phone chat line. we eloped 3 months later. with the knowledge he had obtained in the service, he actually saved my life. a pacemaker was installed in nov. 07. we've dealt with a lot of health issues. now we hope to have kids.( problems such as, type2 diabetic,temporal lobe epilepsy,strokes,and heart failure). he is hesitant to look for jobs in the medical Field.he has the equivalence of an r.n., yet cannot find work.

it would be my guess that he saw too much 'over there'. my cousin just came back from iraq and cant do anything that reminds him of what he saw either.
