Question:

Can people with tourettes still wear contacts?

I don't mean the stereotypical Hollywood tourettes where a person curses.

I mean normal tourettes where a person has tics and nervous twitches.

For example I blink a lot. I blink hard, I blink often, I look to the left, I cross my eyes. I can't stop.

But I need glasses and would prefer to wear contacts.

Anybody else in my situation?

  1. I had problems with contacts, simply because I blinked so much.  However, if your contacts are put in correctly, you might be ok.

I would get contacts, and instead of a short trial period, give it a sincere month to see if you get used to it.

Hopefully, you'll be ok.  Good luck!

  2. yea i ont see why not are you going to pull them out put them in all time

if you going to just leave them your all good

then agin you might do same thing wearing glasses only wont make your eyes sore by messing with them

  3. It shouldn't be a problem. You might want to get the type you can leave in for a month, because putting them in may be a little trickier than for the average person. Really it's just a matter of giving them a go.
