  1. Yes he can win but this is his most challenging race (next to the 4x100 Free Relay).

I'll say it's an 85% chance he'll continue the momentum and domination of the rest of the field.

USA's Ian Crocker owns the WR but Phelps has dominated him over the past couple of years. I'd say if he doesn't win it though it's the Serbian (Cavic Milorad) that will take him down and not Ian Crocker.

Cavic Milorad and Phelps are the only two that have broken 51 seconds at these games and Milorad beat him face to face in the heats on Thursday. He's also the number one seed going into tonight's (Saturday morning Beijing time) finals.

It's interesting to note that Cavic Milorad is representing Serbia but was born in Anaheim CA, his hometown is Tustin, CA and he makes his residence in Islamorada, FL. I think you'll find many of the foreign swimming medal winners (outside of Australia and Asia) actually live in the US.

I just hope it's in WR number 7 too.

    Enjoy.

  2. like 99%      his butterfly is good, and he does best in longer swims

  3. As long as Phelps' goggles don't malfunction again and his start and turns are flawless as always, I'll say 99.9% he wins.  That's without ANY mistakes.

  4. yes he can,100% chance

  5. I'll say about 95%.  The other American is good but when Phelps swims his best race there is no one who can compete with him.  As long as he continues to get great turns off the walls he should be fine.

  6. 97%

    Very good chance!

  7. ummm always 100% hes fastest swimmer in history.

no doubt no matter what hes always fast!

  8. 99.9% chance that michael phelps can win the 100 m.
