Perhaps wisdom is something you might desire out of philosophy. But philosophy itself I like to think of as exercise - seeking answers to the unanswerable questions. It's like weight lifting for the mind.

No.  It is only love for wisdom.  Desire is too prejudicial to be a precursor for philosophy.
