  1. No. Pine will rot quickly with high moisture content.


  2.    Cedar will last long and take the temp and steam better. Pine wont as stated in the other answers too..

  4. Use Cedar. If you use pine, you'll get pine tar on your (_|_).

    Cedar is the wood of choice for saunas.

  5. some species of pine, like the nordic spruce are good enough for this purpose. Cedar smells a little bitter, but it`s moisture content is high, so it won't bend, and repels some bugs. Maybe you should use teak, but alder is a very fine choice as well
