I just discovered that I am pregnant but haven't had health insurance since December. I'm worried about medical bills and paying out of pocket for everything. Can Planned Parenthood help me with check ups, sonograms and delivery? What other options are available to me?

  1. To Be honest,It will take a little time to find the answer for the question of yours.have a look at the resource here for your reference .http://health-insurance.onlinebestoffer....

  2. One option is not to have s*x if you are unable to provide for the baby and the expenses of pregnancy.

But I see it's a bit late for that.

Check into government help, that's what it's there for.

  3. you will probably have to go to the state for help and medical.  with my first i went to PP for the pregnancy test, the only thing they offered me help on was an abortion :( thats been almost 5 years ago, maybe things have changed since then

  4. Planned Parenthood will give you discounts based on your income, but only some centers give prenatal care. Call your local PP and tell them your situation, and ask if they can either give you help or refer you to another place.

Also, do you qualify for medicare? They may be more inclined to help you because you're pregnant and you can go off of it after you deliver. Also, if you don't mind religious groups, many church-based groups and crisis pregnancy center places may help you out with the cost of prenatal care.

  5. Plannned parenthood will just be able to give you a pregnancy test ...and they work on an income basis so, you might have a small fee you have to pay.  And they will give you a referral to go to a regular OBGYN and from there you can go to your county agency and they will give you a state medical card.  This will pay all of your bills up until your 6 week check after you have the baby........At least this is how it works in Wisconsin

  6. Just call them and ask.

  7. They can maybe help set you up with state insurance.  Set up an appointment right away!

  8. Sounds like you need to contact your local medicare office and get applying for that.  Planned parenthood can only provide you with a positive pregnancy test they can not provide prenatal care.  Call your dr's office and see if there is anything they can do to help you out.  What about the dad, are you all going to get married?  Can you file for common law marriage so that he can put you on his insurance?  Are you under the age of 25? Some parents can add kids until they are 25, you may have to enroll in college and take a class or two, but that would be beneficial.  You can also look into those insurance companies that advertise on tv.  It will cost you a hundre or 2 a month, plus dr visits, but it would still be cheaper than paying cash.  Try looking for a new job asap that you can get insurance through and dont tell them til a few weeks after.  They cant fire you for being pregnant so you will just have to make sure that you are there everyday and do your job good.  You can also try working as some restaurants, they offer health insurance.
