  1. As I experienced with my pepper plants (saved from fall, and residing on my desk at work), plants can do well under artificial light, but the fact that I've had lots of blossoms and no fruit led me to a website stating that real sunlight is needed if you want peppers.  The effect of real vs artificial light depends upon the plant.  Some do really well, some don't.  There are also full spectrum bulbs available for indoor growing, which should be available at most any garden shop.

  2. they need sunlight to produce vitamin d which AI light doesn't.

  3. yes they do,HID lights are used for best results, you would not want one hanging in your front room tho, very bright...there are other options that work with less efficiancy..mercury bulbs etc

  4. (UV) Ultra Voilet bulb light helps in plant growth in indoors.

  5. They need sunlight, or a grow light. Sunlight provides ultraviolet rays, necessary for proper plant growth.  If you only let them see artificial light, their growth will be stunted and I doubt if they could come into bloom.  All plants have a reproductive process, even if they don't have flowers.

  6. yes, its just bulbs don't realy give off that much uv light so you'd need to use uv lights for best results

  7. yes.. they need..only sunlight....

as sun light has a huge amount of energy unlike other sources....
