Can please help me with this math problem???

Question

i know this is a really easy question,, but i cant exactly remember how to finish it off..

solve for y: 3x - 2y = 4

i know the next step is 3x - 4 = 2y,, then put those both over 2,, but i cant remember what to do next!! help!!

i got

y =      

         -3

          ___x    _   2

           -2  

i'm not sure this is right so... sorry.

3x-2y=4

-3x        -3x

-2y = -3x + 4

divide all by -2

then i got the answer above.
