  1. Yes polluting the air causes our o-zone layer to shrink and cause more uv rays to penetrate thoughtt causing global warming.

  2. yeah..

those smoke coming out of the vehicle can contribute to the heating of the earth,,

greenhouse gases are already trapped in our planet and we should be concern that polluted air can also be a part of this global-warming thingey

  3. Polluting the air is also the reason that causes global warming. Some people also say that it is the sun. They are half correct. You see the Earth has a proctective layer to protect the Sun's UV rays. But the proctective layer is starting to break apart. This is also another reason too. So it is both.

  4. Yes, it can. To find out how and what kind of pollutants are contaminating your community check this link:

  5. You will see good arguments from both those that believe and those that don't believe in Global Warming.

And what  the reason for this is that, some of them are looking at the long term effects of pollution on the environment.

While other only look at the short term, and since they don't really see any difference in their short lives, determine that there is not Global warming.

those worried about Global Warming are looking are what the environment is going to be for our grandchildren and great grandchildren.

What we should all agree on though is, that in the last 50 years our skys are no longer clear, and our water in not longer drinkable without filtration.

That our air smells more like exhaust fumes, and makes our eyes water until we get used to it.

And we are spending more on health care than ever before.

  6. Actually, air pollution causes global cooling (CO2 isn't a pollutant, it's plant food).  The sun is responsible for our current warming trend.  Iif you're really interested, try looking up "The Modern Maximum"...it's the term used to describe the Sun's current level of activity.

  7. Yes, so would you please stop it?

  8. polluting the air with what?

keep in mind, when really large volcanoes erupt, frequently they spew enough ash that the temperature goes down a bit for a year or 2.

volcanoes also put CO2 into the atmosphere, but, large as it would seem when you look at a specific volcano, when compared with the CO2 that we add, the contribution of volcano is pretty minuscule.

    methane does cause global warming.

other things, like NO2 and SO2 cause other problems, more than global warming,  such as acid rain.

the chemical industry is constantly working to invent new chemicals to fill some need or other.  testing to see how they affect global warming is not part of their research and development process.

    CO2 is ---- unfortunate.

both we, and plants need it.

it's part of our environment that's necessary.

    i don't like calling it a pollutant.

however, clearly it's responsible for global warming.

far more so than any other "pollutant".

  9. No.  Man is too insignificant to cause any change to the environment.

The Sun is what causes the planet to warm and cool, as the output of the Sun is never constant.

  10. Yes, but global warming is not only caused by pollution. Earth is in constant evolution and will always be, it's not stable. This means that the climate conditions will change and that they have changed before. Our planet has exploded and re-formed itself 5 times before us, pollution does make the process go faster but it's not a primary cause of global warming. Just a quick example, in the times of the Dinosaurs, did they cause major pollution? No they haven't, we had and least two "ice-ages" and other climate changes a long time ago.

Now don't get me wrong, the pollution and waste we create is not beneficial for the planet, but we must understand that it's not the only cause.

We cannot possibly mesure the extend of global warning, we cannot predict what will hapen, as I said, our planet is in constant evolution and it;s not always constant.

Also as other people said, there's a lot more going on than human waste, but yes, we do not help by polluting, but as it was said before, we're too insignificant to cause major temperature or climate changes.

  11. The amount that human activities and pollution affects the temperature of the earth is negligible.

  12. CO2 basically. Anything that burns creates smog. Especially power plants, automobiles, airlines, anything that requires energy. When 9/11 happened, our National Temperature decreased by 2 degrees immediately after all airlines were down. With a high concentration of smog, it traps the light from the sun in our atmosphere. Normally it would be reflected back out of the earth. Which is why the light can not escape and is building up inside our earth. It's pretty bad. Our population doubles every year. China? has 1 billion people as well as India. More people, more energy, more pollution.
