Can portable dvd player play burned files? like avi, mpeg...?

Question

..if there are more of them burnt on one dvd disk, does it show menu where i can choose which 1 to play?

ofcourse if player is compatible with avi, mpeg etc at all..

There is really little demand for AVI, MPG, WMV, etc in DVD players.  Most discs containing such files are for use between computers.  Probably about 5% of all standalone DVD players will recognize AVI or dvix files, so it's not a common situation.  I very much suspect that portable DVD players are similar or even more restrictive.

If you want to burn a DVD for video playback on most players, you'll need to burn it according to the file structure specified by the OS in most players.  It's not JUST a format, it's a structure.  Burning software offers such an option by specifying whether you want to burn a Data DVD or a Video DVD.
