Can pre order a plain ticket have them mail me about it and pick up the ticket when i can purchase it ?

i want to get a plain ticket to birmingham ,uk from lansing mi ,my departure date should be sometime in october and return date in january of 09 ,i want be gone for 3 months can i put one on hold and pay for it in cash in person,where do i go for that and i need it cheep, and i ned to order now cuz i know it cost alot more if i buy it the day i leave and i dont have that kind of money and i dont wan to pay by credit card czu im only 16 so yeha can ya help me out?

It depends, some airlines don't take cash.  Most airlines will only hold a ticket for 24 hours without payment.  Some do not hold at all.

Most airlines will only hold your ticket for 24 hours before payment is due on the non refundable tickets, which are the least expensive.

If you want to pay cash, you would have to go directly to the airport and pay for it on that carrier you are flying, or go to a local travel agency that accepts cash.
