I saw it on Mythbusters once, but have since forgotten the end result of the tests they did.

  1. no!

  2. They found that they don't explode. I don't believe they even enlarged at all. However, they found some interesting results in regards to twinkies.

  3. LOL!

    Implants are non- compressable.

You can get in a lot of trouble by trying.

  4. i am not sure ask a breast inplaint doctor

  5. The only way it could happen, is if there is an air bubble inside one of the implants. Silicon or Saline does not expand in this maner. This is extremely unlikely to occur.

It is the air that would expand under lower pressure, just like the air inside you expands and makes you f**t or burp when the pressure decreases inside and aircraft cabin.

  6. No.  The cabin is pressurized for 10,000 feet and that is not enough pressure to cause implants to explode or implode.

  7. Ask Pamela Anderson.

  8. Yea, don't you remember the episode when Jamie got breast implants and Adam couldn't keep his hands off them?

  9. The idea of a pressurized cabin is that the cabin pressure stays about the same throughout the entire flight.

So, in answer to your question, probably not!

  10. No, but they could in an unpressurized cabin if those jugs have a little air trapped in them.

  11. Hahahaha......LOL, that would be HILARIOUS if that happened!

  12. I think you'd run a bigger risk in a non-pressurized cabin. Pressurization helps keep pressure the same in the air as it is on the ground (actually, it keeps it no more than 8000-10000 feet in the cabin).

I would think there'd be no more risk of implants exploding than people exploding.

  13. NO

    Watch Mythbusters on Discovery Channel

  14. Breast implants are not under pressure and are generally filled with non-volatile fluid (sterile saline, for example).  The maximum cabin altitude for commercial airliners is 8000 feet, roughly the same as Telluride, Colorado.  If the implants don't explode in Telluride (and they don't), they won't explode on the airplane.
