  1. i'm not sure but my roomate is really big into running and he's always doing pull-ups. I guess i've never really cared enough to ask him if it helps :D

  2. if you're running up a cliff then yes

  3. ohh lmao... I thought you ment the potty training diapers... LMAO...

I'm no expert, but wouldn't stronger arms= more muscle which =  more weight and the heavier something is the longer it takes to make it go faster... my best answer,

but it does make sense that when you push your arms backward it would propell you forward faster... so ya I guess.

  4. yes it should because the faster you move your arms, the faster you run and if your arms are strong, you will be able to go longer, obviously you need strong legs too.

  5. pull you arms back when you run??? You are wasting a ton of energy doing that !!!!! Maybe talk to someone who knows what they are doing.

  6. yah i am a beast at running and i do chin ups all the time

  7. Well, I always found they kind of make me waddle...  Oh sorry that's the training pants!  But yeah, if you can move your arms quicker, it should help your running game.

  8. Sure they can, but I'd put more time into other exercises to increase speed.  Pull ups primarily work your upper back, secondarily working your arms and shoulders.  Put more time into the obvious choice..legs (hamstrings, calves, and quads).  Bench press does more to increase speed then pullups. Secret weapon: increase strength in your core (abs, lower back).  this is an area neglected by many atheletes, but will give you better stability and overall muscle control while running. Your speed is sure to increase

  9. They can give you upper body strenght, which as long as you don't bulk up should make you run better.
