  1. Honey is OK for quakers, as long as you limit it. It's full of sugars and fat that aren't good for the little guy!

I have a quaker parrot named Sophie, and she's eaten some honey before. Just remember to limit the fatty foods.

You may want to look at this chart:

    It really comes in handy!

  2. The best way to give your Quaker Honey is to dilute it in water ,but only at the most twice a week, then in warm weather remove it after 2 days as it will start to ferment and may upset your bird.

  3. hehe quaker parrots.

  4. I quit feeding any bee products after watching the National Geographic special on Honey Bees. They are trying to figure what is causing the demise of the Honey Bee. They have identified several problems with the bees. They said that the honey had several bacterial diseases in it plus some things that they can't identify. These things were in small amounts but I don't want any amount of bad things in my birds food or supplements. I used to feed bee pollen to my birds. I would mix it in the bird's soft food. After watching that show I am not feeding any more bee products. I don't just have one or two birds. I have 25K in birds. I don't take any chances. If it is killing the bees, then who says it won't kill your bird if what ever it is  gets to high enough levels in your bird. I believe in feeding as much organic food to my  birds as possible. Just no be products.
