Can "Love at first sight" really happen to people who are seen as unattractive?

I've always wondered this. Can "Love at first sight" really happen to someone who is seen as unattractive/ugly?

I ask/think of this because we all know/heard of how it's said that it's the person's looks that first grabs your attention and the thing you initially fall for, then it's their personality that comes afterwards... but what if the person isn't exactly good looking? Can "Love at first sight" still occur since of the first sight part?

Anybody ever had Love at first sight with someone who generally wouldn't be considered "hot"?

I dont believe in love at first sight cause that love is just based on the appearance, not the personality.

I don’t consider myself all that great looking, but I believe it happened to me. The first time he saw me we were to far away to talk, but he seemed to be (act) in the way people that have just fell in love act like. And I knew as soon as I saw him for the first time I would do anything for him. It is hard to explain.

What people need to understand about your question is, it is LOVE at first sight. Love is an emotion and emotions can not be handled and controlled. Love is about much more than I want to have s*x with someone. That is the physical part and only physical part of it. Love is an emotional response given for many reasons, but it is defined as a loyalty and devotion to a person. So yes I say one can fall in love at first sight, even if you are traditionally thought as “ugly”. Deep affection for someone is just that; deep! It doesn’t take the physical to have the emotional, but when the emotional is present the physical usually follows.

what you may think is unattractive someone else may find to be very beautiful.....so yes....it can happen ...

the last girl I was with was sort of like that.....I heard her laugh...which caught my attention...when I saw her it was like ..I got to know her....but being the jerk that I am ....I messed that up...

I more or less believe in Lust at first sight, not love. XD

But, sure. Even "ugly" people will get that. Everyone likes something different. :)

There's no such thing as love at first sight. there's attraction at first sight.

Well, I don't really think 'love at first sight' exists. What actually happens is 'interest at first sight'. You may be interested because that person is pretty, but that doesn't mean you're in love.

Well,I don't really believe in love at first sight. But, I believe in lust at first sight. Ha ha. I also think that when people say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, they don't take into account the majority of people all pretty much agree on what is commonly found to be attractive and whats not.It is a cruel world after all. No, this doesn't happen for the "ugly". When you are going by sight you are going by what your eyes see.
