  1. I do about 45 minutes a day on aerobics and then about 10-15 minutes a day on the strength, yoga, and balance exercise.

It most certainly IS replacing "normal" exercise because it's exactly what I would do at the Gym...

Only it's more fun, Less costly, and done in the comfort of your own home.

I've lost 6 pounds so far!

  2. i think a gym would be better as there is resistance and real cardio training

  3. no way. u won't even break a sweat. all u do is stand in one place on a board and wave ur arms like aretard while getting instructions from the tv. this is just a gimmick for kids to get another game and use the excuse that it is exercise. u should exercise the old fashione way by going outside and biking or running.

  4. idk but i want that game

  5. No it can not replace normal exercise.  Instead of playing Wii, invest in some exercise equipment at home and do that.  You have time to play Wii so you obviously have time to work out at home.

  6. I don't think it could be a complete substitute but it could have a lo of benefits.

  7. F you have time to play wii fit then you have time to work out. Reexamine your priorities.

  8. It depends what you mean by "normal exercise". Just like any at-home fitness program, your results depend on what you do and how much you do. 20 push-ups on the Wii Fit isn't any different from 20 push-ups done anywhere else. Also, the wii fit might just make it more fun and/or push you a little harder than you might push yourself.

I haven't tried it myself, so I can't say for sure. It seems like you might get some basic strength training and flexibility work in, but I don't know about aerobic training. Apparently it has some aerobic activity in it (e.g. jogging and step aerobics) but I don't know if I could jog on a 1-foot square board for 20 minutes a day.

All that being said, you're better off doing something with the Wii fit than doing nothing. :)

  9. No Wii fit does not replace normal excercise.

It just makes casual excercise fun when you want to.

It's meant to be taken as a fun, casual, and occasional excerice. Maybe something you want to do in the morning or evening but it should not replace your normal excercise.
