  1. I'm not sure, but it doesn't sound right.  Dark, yes; but not romantic.  That's a genre.  The tone is how the author expresses his or her attitude toward the work and characters.  Check out this list:

  2. no, romantic can't be the tone. the tone is the mood. romantic, or romance, is just a theme in twilight. dark is right. the tone would be something like dark yet passionate.

  3. Romantic can be a tone.

  4. "Romance" isn't a tone, it's a genre. The tone is more of HOW the book is written--HOW does this person feel about this? HOW does this person speak about this? HOW does this person think?

The tone of Twilight wouldn't be "dark" because Bella is most definitely not a "dark" type of person, even though trouble seems to find her wherever she goes. I would say that the tone of Twilight is light and sarcastic, but still carries that serious underside.

  5. Certainly the tone im going for in my story, i dont see why not?
