Question:

Can rabbits swim the first time in deep water?

i know rabbits can swim, and i even bathe my bunny with special bunny soap(with only 1 and a half inches of water.) .but can rabbits sim the first time you put them in deep water?and can they go in pool water, since it has clorine?

  2. I am not sure, but even if they could I HIGHLY DOUBT they would enjoy it.  It sounds like you love your bunny, and you obviously take good care of him if you bathe him, so do you both a favor and don't try it.  You may just lose the trust he has in you, and he may even drown.  

  3. Rabbits are fair swimmers but will only swim in desperation,as they don't like water.

    They easily give up and they drown quite quickly,something to do with body weight ratio.Too heavy at the back end and small paws.that cannot push them through the water.

  4. Yes they can but...not very well and not for long.

    The fur gets too saturated with water. Water and rabbits doesn't mix well.

    Once wet they take forever to dry. So rabbits stay very far from water if they can.
