  1. Minorities no longer face race discrimination when applying for employment; however, the majority white, older, and female worker often does - affirmative action has encouraged that.  It should be an even field where the best qualified is hired, but that is a dream world that I won't see in my lifetime.

  2. legally no -- but i have seen applications get over looked because the person looking at them knows by experience that the name on it is black!!!

  3. Yes, they do.

The good old boy network is still alive and well in many large companies in America - even though it isn't supposed to be that way..............

  4. Do minorities still face discrimination when applying for certain jobs US  you ask. Not really but white people sure do and they will hire an illegal alien over any born here.

  5. Not where I'm at but then my area has a really low unemployment rate too.  The person who is most qualified for the job is usually the person who gets it.  As it should be.
