Question:

Can radio and TV waves have an affect on global warming?

It has occurred to me that in some industrial heating processes, radio waves are used to heat the material (microwave ovens too for that matter). What would the cummulative effect of all radio and TV stations, and perhaps other large forms of electromagnetic generation, be on the humidity in the atmosphere? Could we all be living in a large open air, low intesity, proverbial microwave oven? Could these waves cause any form of significant ion chemical changes in the atmosphere, that would contribute to global warming? Has anyone investigated this concept?

  1. I don't think so. At least I haven't seen anything to support it.

  2. No it cannot be related because in industries the radio waves are consentrated at one point- the material.  this cannot harm the environment or the Earth.
