  1. Sure.

  2. Sure it can if you have a good place to store it, then by all means use it!

  3. Yes and No,

Yes, if youre soap, is not reactive with the sulfates rainwater has, No, if the raiwater you tapped is derived from a heavily smoked area, rainwater basically has sulphates in it that it might cause an action to the laundry soap you're going to use, but rainwater 50 years ago are used to supply as drinking water and so it can also be used for laundry, but today, i dont think using rainwater as water to do laundry is not a good idea...

  4. Yes.

  5. Rain water is very "soft" , meaning that it contains no minerals. It sudses up like magic . Ladies in the sixteen and seventeen hundreds wouldn't use anything else to wash their hair . If you're going to catch the water off of your roof , don't use it rom the beginning of the storm . A lot of dust is in dry air , that should wash out in the first half hour of a strong rainstorm . It will also take a lot of the dust and dirt from your roof .

Sailors who sail around the world in small sail-boats catch rain water off their sails in a rain-storm for drinking as well as all other uses . Again, they do not use the first water , because the salt on the sail must first be washed free .
