in error the store mixed this gorgeous gallon of interference purple/gold paint instead of copper metallic for me. The interference purple/gold is of no use to me, though beautiful in the Can!!! Could I add red paint to it to get more of an red/rusty/gold interference? Thanks for any help.

  1. If the store got the color wrong they should replace it.  You can add another color paint to it but you might not get the color you want.

  2. You'll likely get a muddy brown by doing that. Take it back to the store and get them to mix it right this time.

  3. As long as they are both turpentine based paints yes however will it finish the colour you want? try a bit of both on a sheet of paper and mix to a ratio you can work with so as to judge the colour yourself before committing the whole lot to a no end result.

Not sure what interference is meant in terminology but if they both have the same base it should not have any affect.
