Question:

Can regular people attend the Democratic National Convention?

I know its a stupid question, but do you have donate millions of dollars, be a delegate, be invited or be a member of the press to attend? It looks like such an interesting thing to attend. I find it hard to believe that the thousands of people there are all delegates or donated money but I've been wrong before.

  1. Generally, most of the people are delegates--with both parties. However, you too can be a delegate...all you have to do is put your name in the running. This is why Obama is having the nomination part take place in the stadium...so that more regular people could attend.  


  2. As long as you're willing to work for the privilege, you can attend.

    "The campaign said it planned to put the attendees to work -- encouraging them sign up to volunteer and get involved in Obama's campaign."

  3. Yep, all of the regular people who are willing to write big fat checks to the party so it can go "help the little guy".
