  1. Rhubarb contains oxalate, which have been reported to cause poisoning when large quantities of raw or cooked leaves are ingested.

  2. Very large amounts will. More commonly though, they will make you fall seriously ill and can cause kidney damage due to the formation of calcium oxalate crystals.

If you eat rhubarb leaves, immediately eat Tums or drink milk to precipitate calcium oxalate in the stomach, rather than the blood.

  3. Not sure about the leaves but my doc did tell me to cut down on eating raw Rhubarb as it is too acidic for the stomach.

    I love raw rhubarb.

  4. The leaves contain poison, and will give you a rash on your skin, but I think you would have to eat quite alot of them before you actually died from them.  -Don't eat them though.  ;)

  5. No i dont think so...wat about the pie thing? IDK! lol i just live on this planet!!!!!!! HAHA! yea,
