  1. Some people are idiots on yahoo. I am meaning those idiots swearing and who do not know what a rope fish is. Matters not, low IQ's has to be accepted. Furhtermore with the question and the answering. They can be put together. However, there is several species of dragon fish. If it is the violet goby, then you will have no problems much. Quite a good match actually. If it is the asian arowana you may be in some trouble though. Asian arowanas need at least a 180 gallon tank and you have to have your rope fish at 35 cm when you add the arowana. When the arow is 60 cm your rope fish will be food. They are all awsome fish. If you have a asian aro, I have to congragulate you on buying one of the most awsome fish, to be the best fish being the silver aro. Help this helps and I hope it is a gobby we are talking about.

  2. they can as long as they are non aggressive and also are too large to be swallowed  larger angels, moray eels, groupers, grunts and triggers make suitable tankmates with dragon fish.Dragon fish are also called lion fish hope this helps u out and good luck

  3. There are 4 or 5 species called a "dragon fish". I believe you are talking about a violet goby though? If so, Then yes- you can house them together. They both have pretty poor eyesight and are relatively peaceful and slow- so I don't see any problems. They may nip at eachother during feeding if they bump- the goby will be able to inflict more damage on the rope fish than the rope fish could on the goby. Keep an eye out for that!
